15 Minute Smog Check

Gary and his guys are awesome! They are very nice and super helpful. Without their help I would have spent tons of money to get rid of my check engine light on. You do have to drive your car around for 70 miles in a certain way in order to reset the computer, especially if someone just turned it off for you, so don't complain about good advice. Lear about your car computer first. Yes, make sure you have time when you come here, it will be way longer than 15 minutes, cause these guys are super busy. Gary is there on the weekends and even works late on Sunday to get through all the customers. Call ahead and ask when is a good time to show up. Without "15 minute smog" I'd be out 800 buck for engine tune up, which my car didn't even need. Thanks, Gary.

Gary is great. I have been using him for all my smog work for a few years now. This shop is a TEST ONLY station, so they can do your smog test no matter what the DMV renewal letter states. It also means that they cant do repair work for you so there is no incentive to tell you anything other than the facts. I am a former ASE Master Tech and have seen a lot of smog techs that baffle me as to how they got and keep their license, Gary is one of the best smog techs I have worked with. He bends over backwards to help people out within the legal restrictions placed on him as a test only station. The 15 min is posted as from when the vehicle test is started, and yes there is sometimes a bit of a wait if it is busy, but do you want to do business with someone who has a high volume of repeat customers and referrals, or with someone who has to discount their prices to get work? Knowing what I know about the industry, I feel the price is quite fair at $59. The costs of being in the business are so high I seriously question what corners are being cut in these ultra cheep shops out there.
