Took my '82 Olds Cutlass Supreme here for headlamp & brake light certification (they're licensed by the state of California to perform this). Clean shop, professional staff.  They inspected my car and told me and showed me everything that was keeping my car from passing certification. They gave me a ride home (I live in Signal Hill which is only 3 miles away, so I'm not sure if they'd do this for everybody), as it would take about 4-5 hours and I didn't want to hang around the shop that long.  They also picked me up when my car was ready. They showed that everything they fixed on my car worked. I'm definitely taking my car here for repairs from now on.  They explain everything, just like a good shop should.

These guys saved my day! After a recent business meting I was stranded in Rancho Dominguez. AAA towed me to Alex Auto Repair at 2:30pm. On the way I called two other places suggested by AAA, but they were not willing to do the work same-day. The guys at Alex Auto used computer diagnostics and put it on the lift. It turned out that my car needed a new air-flow sensor before I could make it back to my home in San Diego. They had to hunt for the part but by 4:45 the car was fixed and I was on my way. Very honest, high integrity place.
