My family's been regular customers for years, and to be honest, I can't imagine going anywhere else to get my car serviced. Great work by the mechanics, who are up front and honest about your vehicle and what needs to be done, and great prices in terms of repairs. Even though I upgraded my ride a few months ago, Andy's is the place to beat when I eventually need something done.
I've always avoided Andy's Auto Repair because...well, my parents took their cars there! My parents drive Japanese, and I tend to drive German, so I always took my car to a German specialist. Again, after years of avoiding Andy's, I finally broke down and went to him today to get the rear brakes replaced on my Mercedes. Although they aren't as "friendly" as my previous mechanic (they are, however, friendlier than the mechanics at Mercedes Benz of San Diego--who will ignore you unless you drive a brand new Mercedes), they not only got the job done quickly, they did it well, and informed me of any possible complications with new brakes. The price was very very reasonable, and they were very professional, without resorting to ass-kissing.
I'm into a lot of different things and living in Mira Mesa, you'd think i'd be into cars. I actually can care less about cars. As long as the vehicle takes me from A to B, I'm happy. When my car needed a 100k service check, I got quotes from 3 places and this by far was the cheapest...by about half the highest quote. The mechanics are all nice dudes. They seemed very honest and told me everything that was going to be done to my car.
