This place was a one-man show when I was there on Thursday afternoon. A smog check costs $41.75 and the certificate is $8.25, so you're in and out in about 35 minutes for an even $50. The waiting area is very bare bones with about 5 chairs, a water dispenser, a few magazines and a desk with a computer for billing and payment. I was impressed with the man's professionalism and honesty and really appreciated the time he took to talk to me about my car. He said if it were up to him, he'd buy a Honda or Toyota because they're the most reliable and the cheapest to repair. In the end, my car didn't pass the smog test but he didn't just come out and say, "YOUR CAR DIDN'T PASS!" He sort of eased into it and let me know in the nicest way possible; I only cried after my dad started screaming at me on the phone asking why I went to get my smog done at 3PM instead of 9AM. The man said that I could get it repaired and then come back for a free smog, which is bonus points in my book. :)
