This place is very deceiving. From the outside it looks like a run down gas station. However, the owner/manager Jim and his team are extremely competent mechanics. I've had a few repairs done to my cars here and the quality of work for the amount you pay is pretty incredible. They regularly go out of their way for their customers and best of all... they're honest.

I was recommended to Best Auto Care a couple years ago by a co-worker that lives on the same block as the garage. It was the best advice he'd ever given me. Jim is as good of a mechanic as you can ask for and very trust-worthy. They are honest, fast, and the mechanics catch things you do and don't need done and very upfront about it. I have worked on cars since I was 16 and definitely a D.I.Y type, but I still depend on Jim because I know he(and his team) do the right work at the right price.I've noticed the past years they've seem to have gotten even busier (and they always seem very busy), probably by word of mouth and for good reason.

Usually one of the cheaper gas stations in sf. This one, or another arco by my houseBut i guess people like "name brand gas",...But you know the "name brand gas" comes from the same place as the generic ones....(go do some research).
Jim was a great help. He was completely honest and gave me a great price for some brake work. Even though he was really busy, Jim finished my car in less than a day. I would definitely recommend to anyone. I know I'll be back.
