This Smog Shop is really really good. Giancarlo made everything really easy, he was quick and friendly, and also got my car passed in 20min. He was really knowledgeable and explained himself and what he was going to do really well.If you need a smog go HERE..! I highyly recommend this plac to anyone who needs a smog. .
One thing missing from all the reviews is the actual price. He charges $48 + $10 for certificates, etc. Total price is $58. So, cheaper places CAN be found. However, as everyone else said, Gian is a really nice guy and provides quick, excellent service.
Dropped in on a Saturday morning. There was no wait, I was in and out in 10 minutes. With the coupon from the website, the cost was $50 even.
Fastest smog test in town. Was in and out in 30 minutes. Only took me that long because the guy was at lunch when I arrived.
Just came from this place and they are great. All the reviews are correct. Fast and easy.
This Place is absolutely amazing and i recommend for ANYONE in the los angeles area to commute to C & G, good person that knows what he is talking about and will take the extra time and effort to make sure you're on your way, if i could give it 10 stars i would :)
Does C&G need yet another 5-star rating? Maybe not, but the place deserves one. Gian far exceeds his competition in every way--thoroughness, friendliness, competence, speed-of-service, etc. As long as I live in the L.A. area, I'm not testing my car anywhere else.

After living in LA for 6 years with 2 cars I've been to my share of smog checks. I can tell you i will not go another place other than C $G as long as I live here. Everyone knows the routine you pull your car up the guy grunts, you hand him your paperwork then he holds out his hand for payment when he's done. You drive home with less money. I have to tell you i didn't feel that way this time. I've been having trouble with one of my cars passing CA smog this year and after my second ticket i needed to take care of it. I chose this place due to the location of the other errands i needed to run that day. When i met the owner and told him my issues with the car and he took the time to tell me what is going on with it. He gave me a couple options to solve the problem and deal with the DMV and by the end of the day.......my car passed. The best part of C & G is that once you pay he will continue to test the car until you pass. Most will have a 30 day agreement
I just went here as I hated the place that is closer to my house, *cough*..Kings Smog, *cough* *cough*... Anywho, I will leave that to my review of THAT place later.It was just this really nice man, who helped me out. He isn't part of the gas station, it just happens to be next door to it. I gave him my Driver's license, and my DMV paperwork and he took care of the rest. Very curtious and helpful. And my car passed! Which made the experience that much better! 10 min later, I was on my way to AAA. Phew, now that I got that over with, I could enjoy my day!
Excellent experience... I went to a couple of other smog places in Eagle Rock, where I was completely ignored. This is a business, and I wanted to patronize a place that cared that I had chosen them. Giancarlo was unequivocally the nicest SMOG guy I have ever encountered. Thorough, kind, and a good coversation to boot. I will be recommending him to all of my friends and associates in the area.
Great prices, good business man. When I first went there I even haggled him about the price and felt bad later cause he took it with such politeness. Now I take all my cars here and Giancarlo always offers up the free coffee across the street. Best part, clean shop, newer equipment, takes his job seriously. Not what you would expect from a smog technician.I think there is a $10 coupon in the local Eagle Rock paper if you do some scouring.
Honest, fast and friendly - very good experience. I took my wife's car last weekend, then I took mine back on Monday. I am referring anyone I know who needs a smog check to C&G!
I was afraid I wouldn't pass the test, but John made sure things looked good before the testing and I got through it okay. Even though I bothered him with a lot of questions, he carefully and politely explained what he was testing and why. Definitely a good guy.
I was in town for the weekend and was getting gas at the Mobile station on Colorado and Eagle Rock Blvd. I remembered I had to get my car smogged and saw this smog shop. The sign said Test Only and I wasn't even sure if I could get it smogged there but I asked. Turns out he can smog any car. He made it quick and painless; I was in and out in under 15 minutes. I asked if he knew where the DMV was so that I could get my tags. He let me use his computer to go to the dmv site to pay for it online, he even printed out the confirmation page for me and told me I would get my tags in a few days. The place was super clean and the guy was very knowledgeable and helpful. A few days after I got back home I got my registration and tags. I'd go back here again.
