I was lucky enough to fail a smog test here. The smog technician Anthony really knows cars. And when the smog test failed due to an error code, he was able to pinpoint the root of the problem and pointed us in the right direction to get it fixed. My check engine light has been plaguing my car for over 5 years and no mechanic could ever figure out the source of the problem. In the past, when I had a smog test scheduled, I had to wait for some divine miracle for my check engine light to turn off and rush into the closest smog place hoping the light wouldn't turn back on mid-test. And in comes an unlikely smog technician who turns out to be the car whisperer. Now my car has not only passed the smog test, but the acceleration and gas mileage has vastly improved. The smog test was $40 exactly, but his advice was priceless.
