My car wouldn't start as it completely died, so called AAA and had their tow guy said my alternator is shot and I need to bring it to a shop. They recommended this shop so I had my car towed there. What I'm glad they DIDN'T do is upsell me services I don't need. They had a list of recommended things that I should take a look at but not once did they try to sell me any additional services besides the alternator replacement. The cost to fix my alternator was $419, and it made a funny buzzing noise afterwards. I'm pretty busy so I don't really have time to take it back. I only wish the price was cheaper.. I read around online that said the cost to replace was about $300 for a Camry 2001. Oh well.. at least my car works.
