I've been back here several times since the original work for both cars, and each time Don has done the work very quickly and for rather reasonable prices.  In addition, he saved me a ton of money by referring me to Midas to get my exhaust fixed because he said they'd be able to do it cheaper and faster than he could - he saved me over $100 with that referral, compared to an estimate from another shop. I'll still be bringing Don and Express Auto Clinic my business when something needs to get done. Also so people know - I drive an Audi and Don has done great work on it.  Finding a competent and cheap mechanic who works on German cars is rough, but you can find one here!

Easy, cheap and fast. I went in on 7/11/11 and Don told me he'd be done in ten minutes. He was right. And it was just $40. No frills but you won't be there long. Will happily return next time.

Had a great experience here.  Don (the owner) is competent, honest, and fair and quick!   He took me on a test drive immediately, quickly diagnosed the problem, and had multiple problems fixed on the same day.  Noises gone, car drives great, and passed smog too!

Went to get a smog check and got great service, a great price ($26-60 cheaper than just about anyone I could find), and he was done in under 30 minutes. Also, I had just gotten an oil change up the street and that person noted a problem with my car axle -- and quoted $260-. I asked this guy to take a look and he saw the same problem and quoted less than half of that price. I'll be back. PS  The only drawback is that there is nowhere to wait for the service to be done ... but Piedmont Ave is about a 5-10 walk to a coffee shop.

These guys have been prompt and helpful every time I've had an issue with my car.  They are reasonably priced and get things done quickly.

I had them do my smog check and a radiator flush. It was quick, painless and reasonably priced. What more can I say?

This is where I go to get maintenance and repairs done on both my trucks, the GWAT truck and my personal truck. They do great work, are reasonably priced and oh! so FAST! Getting my truck back quick is vital when I have a customer to get to.

Went here to replace a front head light and a tail light.  The total w/ parts and labor came to 35 bucks and only took 30 minutes.   They were happy to let me stand around and watch to make sure I was satisfied w/ the work, which I was. I would recommend this shop for a fast, cheap, but still good quality auto repair shop for basic tune ups and fixes.   For longer, potentially more complicated jobs, I would check out a shop like XYZ Motors (if you can live w/o your car for a few days).

I've been going to Don for more than 3 years now. I've taken my most problematic cars to him and he always gets the job done. He has also saved me money a couple of times by referring me to other places that could get me parts for less $. I appreciate that kind of honesty so much! Don is cool with me because we've known one another for a while now, but sometimes he isn't the most friendly or patient with new customers. I sent a girlfriend to him a few months ago and she had a less than desirable experience -- I think it's one of those things where you have to establish a relationship with Don and his place.I am a loyal customer! Even when I was living in Alameda I'd drive my old beater all the way up to North Oakland just for an oil change. That's how 'rad' Don is (to quote Robert G.)!

We moved to the Bay Area 3-1/2 years ago from DC and we were looking for an honest, knowledgeable, reliable mechanic (aren't we all). Well, the great news is that I found one. Don at Express Auto Clinic has treated me as well as anyone could. Helped get my Jeep ready and primed to sell. Has maintained my Toyota Highlander and my Honda Civic. He can work on any make/model and is honest. Cannot recommend enough!

Don is rad.  Yes, I said it, he is rad.  I take all of may cars with all of their issues, and have never had a complaint.  Again, hooray for being rad Don.
