Like everyone elses reviews on here, I'd have to give 5 stars. Took my car in to get a smog check. 30 minutes later was done.Waiting room had nice couches to sit on, TV had cable, newspaper laid out, magazines. Made the wait not so much of a wait. Would recommend and would go back again.
I took the old Tercel in last week for its long-overdue timing belt and water pump replacement. Through no fault of GIC's, there were delays and problems with parts delivery. A part did not arrive in the shop until late Friday afternoon leaving not enough time to finish the job before Monday. I was looking at a rainy weekend full of plans and no car. At 7:30 pm Alan called to tell me it was ready! He had kept his mechanic on overtime on a Friday night to finish my car. They also replaced some worn parts that were not on the estimate without charging me. I felt more than compensated for the delays and delighted to have my car back for the weekend because they went the extra mile for me.
So here is the deal - I have always wrenched my own for 30 years, cars or Harley, repairs, restorations, or custom builds. Got a used car I needed smogged, got in touch with Alan, called Jose, got an appointment and taken care of. The shop is CLEAN, organized, complimentary coffee and candy to boot. Nice ambiance, couches and TV should you need to wait. Professional knowledgable and compentant staff handle vehicles and their owners with care and respect. I have been called a "nit picky bas*!ard" and I gotta tell you I could find not one thing to complain about. Thanks Alan Yu and Jose for the great experience. Keep it up!
I and my husband went to GIC to get our two cars serviced. My husband has an older Nissan Maxima and thought that he would probably need a lot of expensive service. He had neglected his car for so long. Much to my husband's surprise, Alan at GIC said that he just needed to have a few simple things done. For my Honda Odyssey, I just needed a standard 10K maintenance, and it was done in a jiffy. Jose at GIC explained to me that he found my transmission fluid to be a bit dark and recommended that I check to see if my transmission was still under warranty so that Honda could check and possibly fix the problem. We never felt pressured to do any unnecessary services and always felt that we were getting friendly, solid advice. GIC has a hardworking staff who genuinely have our best interests at heart. I recommend them wholeheartedly!
I came in to have my A/C system recharged and verified for leaks after I repalced the condenser in my car. I made an appointment for Saturday at 10am. When I showed up I was pleasantly surprised. The place is nicer than I expected, and has a comfortable waiting room area. They took down my information and got to work promptly on my vehicle, getting me out in about the hour they had quoted me (no leaks detected). Jose was very direct and professional and I appreciate the great service I received. I will definitely give them a call when my vehicles need future services.
We've brought them a Saab, a MINI, and a VW. They work to manufacturer's specs. They're honest, competent, and even clean your car before giving it back to you. What's not to like?
GIC is an awesome shop! Alan and crew quickly changed out the rear brakes on my VW Passat and I was able to work remotely thanks to their comfortable lobby and free WiFi.I'll definitely be back for all my car repair and maintenance needs! Thanks Alan and Jose!
I was having serious electrical issues with my 3000GT. The battery would die every third day! I took the car in to this place, being prepared to have the alternator replaced. These guys are awesome - they diagnosed the fault in less than 10 minutes and told me that i had a broken fuse thats all! Not only that they also went ahead and charged up my battery for free! Alan worked on my car - thanks Alan!. I walked out paying just five bucks for the repair - i was one happy camper :). Very clean shop - honest repairs - will definitely be taking my car here from now on.

Took my car into GIC for a Smog Check. Got greeted immediately by someone who welcomed me to their shop. Took me to a very pleasant retro 50;s waiting room. with candy, coffee, etc. The shop and facilities very clean. Staff very, very friendly. They honored their online coupon for the smog check. Couldn't be more pleased. Will go back their again.
