Ken has been great with my grandmother over the years and he was great with me today. I went to Speedee's for an oil change a few weeks ago and they tried to scare me into over $800 worth of work on my car with a long list of problems. I took it to Ken to look at and he cut it down to three things, two of which he could fix (does not do tires) and still saved me over $100 compared for the same work done Speedee's but at least its from a person i trust. If you are like me and hate dealing with car issues because you don't understand  or know who to trust, go here.

I've been coming here for a couple of years now, recommended by my parents. Ken and Kwan are great mechanics and they always give me good prices. I believe they have moved their shop though! I called their number and the message said they have moved to 15th St. I recommend them :)

Ken is awesome! Quick and friendly. I went into get a smog check, Ken came right over and greeted me at the door. He started the process right away and was very professional but lay-back at the same time, which I really appreciate. The shop is very small, but easy to find. It might be out of the way for other people, but for me its walking distance from my house. I was in and out of his shop in less than 20 minutes and got my smog certification electronic sent to DMV for less than $40. Great deal and great services.

Ken is the man.  He is about as honest and friendly as they get.

I would have given this place a ten-star if I could. My car wouldn't start last night, so after getting a jumpstart this morning, I took it to K&K to get a battery replacement and check if anything else needed. Met with Ken, who was extremely helpful. When I came back an hour later, not only he gave me a free service to replace the battery, but he fixed all the dents on my front bumper!I offered to pay, but he said he's happy when people are happy with the service. So I asked him to check the oil, and he said the oil is still good. I'll definitely go back to him for any auto repair I need for future.A BIG thank you, Ken, you made my day!!

A shop that came with a great recommendation for a Smog from a friend, these guys are a rare breed of mechanic. Ken discovered that my wheel cylinder was about to go and my timing belt was beginning to crack, among a few less pertinent, but still important things. I gave them the ok to do the work and wound up getting all done for a price that had my friends' mouths dropping. When I went to pick up the car, Ken explained the things that were starting to go, and since he knew that money was an issue for me, helped me prioritize what needed to get done first (he said tires, something that his shop doesn't do). He also ran through various driving styles that would help me elongate the life of my slowly failing transmission and gave the car an estimated 2-4 more years of use based on the transmission problems.I will never, ever go anywhere else in the city for repairs if I can help it. These guys know what they're doing, are helpful and eager to show you what's going on, very friendly and omg-so-very fairly priced!!!

Ken and the other K (Kwan?) are really fine mechanics.  I have an old SAAB.  Other shops did not want to take on the remedial work for  smogging.  Too likely to fail, they said.  Ken was game and tackled the job.   That was a few years ago.  Most recently I had them tune up the old Swede.  Kwan found a flaw in the alternator block that other shops missed.  He fixed it and it runs better than it has in many years. I can only assume KL caught Ken on a bad day.  Every time I go  by there they are working their tails off.  And they don't have office help so that may account for a brusque conversation now and again.  They have done excellent work at a fair price for me several times now.

My boyfriend and I both go to K&K for our auto needs. We usually end up dealing with Ken but it doesn't really matter because both of the guys are honest, nice, and fast. If you get something replaced, they'll always show you the broken part. And if they think something can wait to get fixed, they'll tell you that too, e.g. my A/C was cutting in and out and when I took it in, they said considering the weather, it might make sense to wait until it cuts out completely and then replace the freon. Thanks K&K for showing me that it's possible to have a good auto repair experience!
