They saved me a $1000. After failing a smog test with two codes, a local dealer gave me a $1000 estimate to replace the catalytic converter and couldn't identify the cause of the other code. Kerechuk said the catalytic converter was ok (though on it's last legs) and resolved the other code after lots of tests. They were honest, courteous and took time to explain how they fixed the problems. This was my first visit to them and I will definitely go back.
Had another great experience recently at Kerechuk, so I felt compelled to write another quickie review. Got an oil change, new cabin filter and brake inspection. Got there about 9:30 on a Sat morning, got an estimate and walked over to Starbucks to get a coffee. I got back to the shop, pulled out my laptop cause I figured I'd be there for a little bit and could get some work done. Within 10 minutes they told me my car was done! Better yet, did NOT need new front or back brakes! These guys are great. Natalie is the best and super friendly. Techs are great too. Finding a good mechanic isn't easy, but I think I've found one in Kerechuk. Everyone is genuinely friendly, patient and helpful and you don't feel you're getting ripped off or walk out clueless about what they actually did to the car. And the employees there must be treated well because it seems like they actually enjoy their work and although they work efficiently, they don't rush cars out like an assembly line. I mean for example, I asked the tech about the tread on my tires and he, along with another tech and Natalie all looked at my tires and explained that I probably had a few more months tread left on them. Since when do you go to a shop and 3 people come out and patiently explain things to you and are friendly about it! I will definitely continue to go there to service my Honda.
Kerechuk is a great family-owned repair shop specializing in Hondas and Acuras. I love supporting small businesses like this. You can tell just by calling their number on a day they're closed. The greeting on answer machine if of a nice lady telling you their hours and that they're open on Saturdays except for the first one of the month (I think). It has that great neighborhood feel.I've been there a couple of times now and the service has been consistently good. Every single staff member I encountered was super friendly. They tell you everything upfront and the prices are pretty decent. I highly recommend the place. It also happens to be two blocks from my house, so that's a big plus for me!
Just so you know...I'm still taking my Scion here...and I'm still loving the service. So glad to have a mechanic I can trust!
These guys are the best! I am not surprised that they have 5 stars. I had a great experience with them, they made everything go smoothly and went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate my weird schedule. They even saved me a hundred bucks off my repairs and for that I really respect them! When I dropped my car off with them I also dropped off my keys with them. It wasn't until I got to my front door that I realized that I had given them the whole key chain. I called them up and told them what had happened and they came and dropped my keys off 10 minutes later. Now that's service! I will be back for all off my care needs. Other Auto-Shops need recognize the real!!!
I had my rotors resurfaced and new brake pads installed here. When I brought my car in staff greeted me and spent the time to understand the issue my car was having (vibration under braking). I left my car with them since they were busy with other cars. Before they started work on my car the technician gave me a call letting me know what work would be done. Bringing my car to Kerechuk was quick and painless and to top it off they gave me a 10% discount.
KerechukHonesty, quality, and great customer service is what you'll get from Kerechuk when you get your car serviced here. I went in to get my front brakes and oil changed, my car aligned and one of my struts changed. With all this work done, I was looking at spending over $600 dollars (or that's what I thought). When I walked up to Kerechuk, there was a very nice man to greet me. He had a beard and I am sorry I didn't catch his name, but he was very cool. Anyways, he took the time to explain to me what might be wrong with the car and even gave visual demonstrations with his hand and some drawings, which I thought was very helpful. I was told my car should be ready around 5pm (it was 9am at the time), which was understandable because they had a lot of cars in front of mine to work on. Without thinking about it too much, I asked if I could get a courteous ride to my house in Arcadia, but I could tell by the look in Natalie's (she works there and is super nice and sweet) eye's that it might be a problem. So before they could even answer I told them it's alright I could get a ride. Natalie then explained that normally they would give me a ride, but since it was Saturday they are going to be swamped and they needed all hands on deck. I knew exactly what she was talking about, since there was a line of cars waiting to be worked on. So back at my house, I get a call around 2PM telling me my car is done. SWEET! I also am told that my strut did not need replacing and it was just a loose bolt.*Now how many places could have EASILY took advantage of the situation and charged me for it? I also am told that my car doesn't need to be aligned at all, just my tires need to be rotated (which they did for free).*Again, how many places would have simply said we fixed the problem and charge you for it? That's what makes Kerechuk different from many of the other repair shops in this world. The honesty of everyone here is just tremendous and the customer service is just unsurpassed by any other establishments. PS: Thank you Kerechuk for cleaning my windshield, replacing my stem valve caps (someone stole them before) and putting in an air freshener for free! I guess my car must have smelled =) PSS: For anyone wondering, they use genuine Honda parts (brake pads, oil filter, etc...). Pro Tips:1. Call to make an appointment first 2. Get there early, as it gets packed fast! 3. Enter through the alley.
For those of you who don't know, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret.First of all, when I tell Westsiders about the city of Alhambra, a look of confusion washes over their face like I'm speaking Japanese. It amazes me how many people really don't know where it is, but I digress. It turns out the fine folks at Kerchuk Motor speak English just like you and I, but they KNOW Japanese cars like a Samurai knows his sword. I had to fix the "check engine" light on my l'il Suzuki Swift in order to pass Smog Certification and get my new freakin' tags. However, since I'm not Donald Trump, I applied for the California Bar-Cap program to pay for the repairs necessary. Thanks Cali - for once, you're paying me some dough - holla!!!Anyhow, beware that some Auto-fixers can have a stigma about this program when you call, since it may require more steps for them to finally get paid. I called up Kerechuk, and they were super-nice about it. Nothing abnormal. When I got there, they have a little air-conditioned waiting room with (seriously) a massage chair which you can choose either "Shiatsu", "Swedish", or "Ass-Kicking" *. It was awesome. Lots of magazines, some Rolling Stones, some Spin. Good stuff.Ryan was a friendly guy who helped triage my car, and the lady that worked the front area with the blonde hair (sorry, didn't get name - I think she's an owner?) was really sweet and accommodating. Later I chatted with Dennis who gave me the honest 411 on my car, and he was really cool and legit. They fixed my car, turned off that stoooopid light, and didn't treat me like a second-class citizen - in fact, it was more like I was flying first-class. Thanks Kerechuk!*paraphrased
first of all, the people here are great. I've been getting my car serviced here for years now and I love seeing the same faces each time. i think natalie is the woman who usually helps me and she's so cute. she writes with a ruler to make sure her text is straight. the cutest thing ever. and the mechanics are all super helpful and sweet, and they don't make u feel like a piece of meat when you take your car in. i hate that. these guys are totally cool though, and my car always runs well. the services aren't the fastest or cheapest, but they're not slow or expensive either and I enjoy going there, so i'm happy paying for what i get. and they take discover card! yey :)
Kerechuk is great. I've been going there for years. They got me in and out in a timely matter. These guys know way more than the dealer and much cheaper.
Great service. they got the job done in one day, when another shop was estimating 2-3 days. cool.
I have known Denis since he was the service manager at Alhambra Honda when it was located at Fremont St. and Valley Blvd. He is one of the best business owners I have had the pleasure to do business with and I feel that this business sense has been passed on to his former employees and it's new owner. I have known Billy during those days also, and have great respect in how he now handles his customers since he purchased the business fron Denis. I always feel like I am part of the family whenever I am there for service or just to stop by and shoot the breeze. This is an excellent example of how a business should be run and how your customers should be treated. Thank you Kerechuk Motors for all the years of excellent service. I don't know what's up with Justin. Sounds like he has some kind of chip on his shoulder.
