Called up La Mesa Auto and spoke to Matt about my car making a noise in the rear when braking and being told by the dealer that it was the rear bearings that needed to be replaced and would cost $700. As soon as I told Matt what the noise was he knew that there was no way it could be the bearings, so I made an appointment. The mechanic Tony first took a drive to hear the noise and then checked the rear brakes. Tony found that the noise was coming from the rotors. All that was needed was to have the rotors re-machined and lube the pads. They did the repairs for only 90 dollars. Now i don't hear any noise when i brake. I now found my new mechanic. Will be setting up an appt pretty soon for an oil change. I will no longer take my car to John Hine Mazda. Thanks a lot Matt and everyone from La Mesa Auto. I highly recommend these guys if you want good and trustworthy mechanics.

My husband and I have been going here for quite sometime.  They do great work and our professional.  We did have a problem with one of our vehicles so we had to take it back several times, still not sure if they really fixed the problem, but so far so good.  I know I can trust them to be open  honest with us.

This garage is one of the best places to take your car for repair and maintenance, especially if you don't know a lot about cars. Matt and Carlos are very honest regarding the necessity for a repairs. They have kept my 1999 Mercury safe and reliable for many years. My dad is a retired engineer and all around handy guy, so I often have an idea of what's wrong with my car before I take it to a garage, because I ask dad's opinion first. Over the years I have thought I might have a serious or expensive problem looming with the old Merc, but Matt and Carlos will tell me straight out if a repair is not necessary or can be safely delayed. They are pleasant to deal with and, from what I have seen, have many, many regular customers. I have told Matt and Carlos more than once how much I appreciate that they have never told me I needed a repair that's wasn't necessary. They take the stress out of car repair for me.

I don't have anything bad to say about this place...THEY'RE EXCELLENT!I wasn't too familiar with the auto shops in this part of town, so while at Kragen, the manager recommended this place. I was having issues with my air intake and blah blah blah...took it in, they worked on my car for a couple of hours (and only charged me for an hour's worth to check out the problem). The owner told of the place (Matt is his name I think), explained what the problem was, and told me it should be covered under warranty! FREAKIN' AWESOME! If you think about it, he didn't have to tell me that, and if he didn't I would never have known. The work would have cost me six to seven hundred dollars, but because of they're honesty I took it into my dealership and got the work done for free.I think most of you have the same fear as me when going to an auto shop; and that is you will get ripped off because you don't know the difference between a headlight and a head gasket. Good work and honesty are the two things to look for at auto shops. I give my word that these guys are as honest as they come.Marwan doesn't lie.
