I have not been here in quite some time and it hasn't been by choice. I worked in this area for several years and religiously took my car to Lee Rollins. Why you ask? 1. The service. Mark, Robert and Vinnie are good people and there is never an ounce of up-sell here. You get what you ask for and you never feel that you're being ripped off. They may recommend that something needs replacing but you will always get call telling you of the issues and give a solution.2. The price. The oil changes are inexpensive and includes rotating your tires.3. Timing. This place is always busy but they ALWAYS tell you when they will be finished with your car. Interesting concept, a mechanic who says are going to do something and actually follow through with it. I would recommend Lee Rollins to anyone who is in the area because they are good honest people who do good honest work!

This place is fabulous. I've been to plenty of mechanics who have tried to sell me on services that I did not need, but this has NEVER happened here. The people who work here are courteous, pleasant, and very honest, which is hard to come by these days. On multiple occasions, I've left my car with them and they've done an inspection and have called to tell me what they found that was wrong, and what the price was to fix. On a couple of occasions, I didn't have the money to do all the repairs at the same time, so I would simply ask, "What is the most critical thing that needs to be taken care of today?" You would think that they would respond with the service that costs the most, but that wasn't they case. They would tell me the most critical service that I needed to take care of, even if it was the cheapest on the list of things that needed to be done. I respected the fact that they never pushed me into getting things done for my car that I really couldn't afford, and never used high-pressure sales tactics. This place is truly a class act.
The manager Mark was recommended to me by a friend as someone who would give me a honest quote for only necessary work. As a young female who knows nothing about cars, I worry that may look like a sucker and people will try to take advantage. I am happy to say I have only had good experiences here. Lee Rollins has done a quality job for minimum cost - one time even fixing a weird noise for free (something was hanging off my car) :/ They have dropped me off and picked me up for work while I was getting my car repaired - turning what normally is a major inconvenience into a relatively minor one. Good Job guys!
Took my older model Camry in here for an oil change with free tire rotation. I also casually asked them what else might need tuning up and they offered to check it out and let me know what else I might need.Knowing the kind of shady tactics of many chain-owned garages, I was expecting them A. to "accidentally" try to charge me for the inspection or B. tell me I needed a new air filter/radiator flush, or whatnot.I was pleasantly surprised that they came back with a workup that showed everything was good (they checked my brakes, fluids, timing belt) and discounted the full cost of the inspection ($22) on the bill. No additional work needed. Robert was very friendly and helpful. So far, 5 stars from these guys.
Standard price for oil change (I had no coupons and no deals happening while I was there). I made an appointment, and unlike some places I've been there was no wait to get in-woot!I also asked them to check the alignment for me. I was there just an hour and half with plenty of mags to keep me occupied. Clean bathrooms. The staff was nice, not pushy.
I went to Lee Rollins a couple months back to get my oil changed and to have my alignment checked. They had this great oil change special going, and the alignment check was the most affordable one I found in the area. All the guys there were great, answered all my questions and got me in and out of there quickly.
Friendliness of staff: 5 stars Prices: 4 stars (Good, but not too good to be true) Free Coffee: 4 stars Magazine + book collection: 5 stars The repair I needed was simple, but one I could not do myself. They did it with style, and seemed to be reasonable about some work that I thought I might need, but didn't rush me into it.
These guys are "THE GUYS" in San Diego to take your broken auto to....I've been to them fortunately, but not frequently off and on for the past 3 years, with my high mileage SUV , and they ARE HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, REASONABLE, AND NICE...also, they communicate with you every step of the way, if they say they are going to call you that's means you will hear right back..Their work is quick, I've never had to leave my car overnight unless it was I that requested. Also, they will drive you back to where you need to go work, home and pick you up later, no questions asked with their safe company car that has a real professional safe driver..the last time they replaced my shocks, I had to be driven 20 miles away and it was Noo problem...having your car worked on is never any fun, similar to a trip to the dentist..but Lee Rollin's makes it not hurt so much on your pocketbook or emotions....They are soo honest, they have reduced prices even just to help me out..Trust me even if you're not near Mirmar road, which I am not... it's definitely worth trip to have a good mechanic and the peace of mind..I wouldn't think of taking my car anywhere else!!
Lee Rollins is the best independent car repair place I have found. They do not rip you off. A couple of times they reduced the cost to fix my truck from the initial estimate when they found not all the work was needed - when is the last time that has happened! They will use factory parts - rather than cheaper aftermarket - unless you specifically tell them to.
