First thing I noticed was the test garage was very clean. Thao, the technician and owner, was nice and good at what he does. The test took 20 minutes and I was outta there. If he notices something wrong he will tell you so you can get it checked out. $40 after the online coupon from their website, which is about the going rate. Definitely would come back next time.
Visited the shop around 5pm on a Thurs. There was no wait. The owner was very friendly. We talked about family, kids, school, etc. Got everything done before 5:30pm. Passed. Fast. Exactly what I needed with very reasonable price. Will definitely go back for sure! God bless!
I have taken my car here twice and the technician is efficient, thorough but not big on small talk, ha.I was upset this last time because the hours on his site say he's open at 8:45a on weekdays but he didn't get there until 9:30a. One of the workers at the repair shop next door said that's pretty normal, he rolls in any time between 9a and 9:30a.This is definitely a no-frills shop, no pretty atmosphere or waiting area, just a guy doing smogs.The test only smogs are more comprehensive than regular ones so it takes about 15 - 25 mins depending on your car. They are also more expensive because the shop doesn't make any money on repairs, their only income is the smogs. Check the site before you go as there is usually a 20% off coupon and, although prices have gone down in the last couple years, it's still $55.
Maybe I should have haggled the guy on price, because the standard price for a car there is $68 dollars. Friendly guy, but a pretty beat up shop. Test was done in under 20 minutes, so I can't complain there.
