Haven't actually taken my car in for a smog yet, but I've also never had one of the guys (Jeff) in the shop actually give me a call back when they said they would. They must run a tight ship there on top of the good service. Will update my review after the smog check.Update: Did my smog check and these guys are great! They don't sweat the small stuff and are willing to help you any way they can. Most importantly, they seem trust worthy, which is hard to find in auto repair places. I'm definitely skipping that dealer service center, who I'm sure has been ripping me off, in Kearny Mesa and coming here next time. Only thing I wish for in this place is that they were open on Saturdays, at least. Otherwise, I'm coming here when possible.

I have been taking my boss' cars here for the past three years and Dan and his employees are always super nice and reliable. Its hard to find good car service these days and this is the place to go for Honest work done with reasonable prices.

Doesn't get any better than this!  I was referred to Miramar 76 from Factory Transmission in Poway.  I spoke with Shawn to set up an appt for the following day.  He quoted me a price and tipped me to check their website for a coupon ($20.00 off) even though my SUV was and older model (1994).  I printed the coupon, brought it in--slam, bam, thank you ma'am--service with a smile--smog check done on time for $37.25 out the door.  While I waited I heard 2 separate customers comment on how happy they had always been with this shops service!  I also chit-chatted with Dan at the shop---these are just GOOD GUYS!  I'm generally a skeptic when it comes to auto shops--but these guys easily earned my business for both my vehicles!

Miramar 76 has serviced three vehicles for me over the last two years.  Best repair shop I've ever dealt with, hands down.  Here are the specifics:1) 1994 Saturn:  My "check engine" light came on, car was losing acceleration power, and the temperature gauge was high.  I was very concerned that this was a serious matter.  I took the vehicle to Dan and he immediately made me feel at ease, stating the check engine light would help them diagnose the issue.  Turns out the problem was only a vacuum hose.  Saved me a lot of money!2) 2002 Saturn:  Shawn and Dan helped me get to the root cause of several issues that the dealiership missed during their inspection; serpentine belt, rear brakes, tie rod ends, leaky brake line, etc.  Miramar 76 addressed all the problmes and fixed the car within budget and on time.3) 2004 Nissan Altima:  My girlfriend had two other mechanics tell her that the car needed a transmission repair.  I thought it was motor mount, and Miramar 76 confirmed that was the root cause.  They saved her at least $1500.

Just got a smog check here today - I had an appt. for 12:30. Within 30 mins I passed and was out the door, as promised! Cost me $57.25.Quick and professional. Just the way I like it. lol

Dan at Mirmar is great!  He had done some work for me because my car wouldn't pass smog.  It did and then the starter gave out.  I brought him in a new starter and he replaced it free of charge.I will definitely be coming back to Mirimar 76 for car maintenance.   Dan is reliable, his mechanices are nice and friendly, and they are quick.Thanks again :)

Agree with Laura B on this one. Sometimes, you wish for better news for your car, but the bottom line is that they give you a heads up before the problem becomes worse. As for me, I have gone there for over 10 years to get my car serviced there. The location is convenient (right off the 805), and the tools/equipment they have there are very effective. Highly professional and honest staff.
