Wow the review here are right this place is great. Ray is really friendly and we just talked about random Stuff for the 15 min it took to smog my hunk of junk. There is no bulk here just quick ans friendly service. If you need your car smother come here you will not be disappointed!
After recently moving to Orange County from the Midwest, I had never needed a smog check, and was not familiar with the whole testing and repair situation. I came to Newport Smog after reading the reviews here, and after all was said and done, I wanted to add my praise. Ray and the technicians showed me how the test was run, explained each step and educated me on the reason for such strict smog emission standards. I stopped in over my lunch hour, and was finished in under 15 minutes. I am very glad that I did not simply stop into one of the $29.99 service station smog checks that I pass on the way to work. See you again in 2 years!
This place is great! Took my car here for a smog test and the man met me at the door. In 15 minutes I was done and for only $53. No added costs and no hassle. This is definitely the place to go for a quick smog test.
Ray and his cute dog are both so nice and friendly. The prices are very reasonable and the 10% off discount is always a nice little add-on. But, make you make an appointment because this place can be pretty busy and it's a pretty small shop. So, to avoid having to wait an hour, just make an appointment and he'll have you in and out of there in 20 minutes.
Ray is great! He is friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us great information regarding the check engine light issue that we were having with our vehicle, and provided great advice. Will keep coming back to him for future smog checks and will definitely refer him to family and friends!
Thank you Ray! I'll never go anywhere else. This place is awesome and Lilly is such a sweet pup. When my truck didn't pass due to a modified air intake, Ray gave me exact instruction on what to do. Ray then retested for free. Plain and simple....go here!
