San Leandro Smog is the place to go To test for your dmv smog air flow the place is fast, a little hard to find but look for the burger kind, cuz it's right behind the dude is cool, service is quick for all future tests, to here will I stick. Not much to say, guy is nice, the service was really fast ('bout 20 min). There was no line, and didn't look like this place was too busy on a Sat afternoon which is great.  Waiting room is sparse, but you're not there for long so it's cool.  Nice thing, like what other reviewers said, it's really close to Costco, so it's kinda convenient.  The price for a sedan is about  $60-70, reasonable for what's out there.  Drove from Alameda because everywhere else was a rip off.

I came to John with a friend who needed a Test Only Smog shop. This place was conveniently located near COSTCO and was thus perfect.   But the convenience is not the only reason why I give this business all 5 stars. Its the person behind the business, John. This man is just fantastic. He was very courteous, kind, and just nice. He made my day! He encouraged my friend to take as long as she needed at COSTCO, and after we were done 20 minutes later the car was ready. He reminded me to save the paper from the results for 2 years and was most gracious for coming to his shop. What a fellow! Just superb.

This place is tucked right behind the Burger King in the Davis Street San Leandro Costco parking lot. Very professional and quick service. I have gotten my car smogged at other places and HATED IT. This place was a very refreshing joy to deal with. My friend also got his car smogged here and was very pleased. The owner is friendly and fast. I highly recommend this smog only station!!

This place is wonderful.  Right by Costco, next to Burger King, on that little side street parallel to Davis.  I was in and out within 25 minutes with no appointment, and that included a 10 minute wait to get me in. Price including all taxes and fees and electronic send to the DMV was $60 flat for my 2000 VW.  No hassle, clean, fast.  Exactly what I wanted. Been to Speedy Smog.  Been to several other places.  This is the place I will now go for my smog checks from here on out.

I was looking all around for a reasonable and close Test Only Smog facility in the Alameda area.  Other's are too expensive, e.g. Speedy Smog on Park St  $ 80 and that's after they say they give you a $ 30 off (yeah right).   Take it to San Leandro Test Only!  Like the reviewer before me...service was fast, courteous, and price was only $ 60 (including certificate). Plus my wife's car needed a EVAP test, which didn't cost me extra!  You also get a free retest within 30 days if you car doesn't pass smog. I'm going to be taking my vehicles there from now on and recommending my friends.  You can even drop it off and go shopping at Costco while you wait (but seriously, the wait is only about 20 - 30 minutes).
