The owner of the station is an incredibly skilled mechanic -- especially when it comes to Mercedes. Not only do they have skilled people, the owner is honest.  He has told me numerous times what I don't need after the Honda dealership guys told me what I "need to have".  Turns out Chris at Saratoga Shell was right. They put my needs before their own.  I respect that. I trust these guys with our Honda Odyssey - which is a big deal. My wife and 4 boys are in that thing a lot.  I would only entrust their safety to an automotive specialist that I trust.  Chris and the guys at the station fit the bill.   Great owner.  Great service.  Great price. Great integrity.

Chris at Saratoga Shell was a life saver!! Our car's engine blew out, a big bang through the intersection and would not run. When we arrived at Saratoga Shell Chris walked straight up, inspected the engine, and determined the sparkplug had been blown out. 20 minutes later we were on our way and super thankful! Could have been a much different story if it was towed to another shop and left for an "inspection". Thanks Chris!!!

Chris's team has performed all the service work on my Dodge and Mercedes for the past 3-4 years and I am very satisfied with their work.They communicate well with their customers and are open and honest.  They give consideration to the age of your car, etc in recommending service that is necessary vs optional.   You will not find this team "packing" service items on you.  They understand the value of building long-term customer relationships and loyalty  - as well as the value of customer referrals that results from doing quality and honest work rather than "the quick sell."  I have recommended them to many of my friends, which says a lot.

The owner is named Chris and he introduced himself to me and handed me his card one day when I was there. Impressive! Friendly! I usually don't trust these corner gas stations for mechanic work, especially the national chains like Shell, but Chris gives that personal touch. Since then I've gotten a smog test in under an hour (as promised because I had to get back to the office!)l, an oil change, etc. I love it because I can call first, then pop in for whatever I need and Chris gets it done on time. Follow up to this review: Within one day of posting this review, I heard from Chris, the Saratoga Shell Owner/Manager. I was impressed that he followed up on my review and obviously cares deeply about customer satisfaction!

just lived close-by and found it participated AAA inspection program. called to find out more but yeah so rude. will not try it. ===== Received a surprised reply from owner Chris in less than 1 hour to my complaint - totally unexpected. Chris is sincere and offered apology for his new hire (?).   Will give second chance and try his service later. I also patronize his gas station often -  Will write about my next experience later.Thanks.
