I've taken 3 different cars here and sent at least half a dozen people to them, and they've always done right by me. It's the same thing as a mechanic. Once you find a good one, never ever give them up. They absolutely deserve your business, and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars
This is *the* place to take your vehicle in for a smog check. Plain and simple - fast, friendly, professional service and the price is right. I highly recommend making a reservation because they do accept walk-ins; and as others have mentioned, there will be a line. I take my 2 cars here for their bi-annual smog test. Even though my cars are less than 10 years old (2002 and 2004) and do not require testing at a smog test-only shop, I prefer to bring them here anyway.
My mechanic recommended this shop to bring my Porsche Boxster (very few smog check do Porsches). I took an appointment, and my car was taken right on time. They also give me a $10 discount w/o me asking for anything. It's a little hidden joint, but I will definitely recommend it to everyone.
So friendly, nice & sincere.I was never expecting a "Smog Check Only" place to be so pleasant. Every 2 years in the great state of California, you will need to bring your 5+ yrs older, non-diesel, non-hybrid car to a SMOG CHECK ONLY station to see if it is still "environmentally friendly." This is a major income for the state & many state legislators are suggesting that it should be done on a yearly bases to combat the current state financial crisis. Anyway, my 6 yrs old car isn't diesel, nor hybrid. So I was looking for a "Smog Only" station. I was referred to this place by my friend and man, I was just hoping they don't overcharge me. Not only they didn't overcharge, they were nice to try my car 2x (the first time being over closed to pass), under no pressure from me! He was nice enough to come to me and said "Yo, I think it'll pass the 2nd time, give me another 10mins, it just needs to warm up." Surely, as he said - it passed on the 2nd time! (At another place, my car would probably failed & never got its 2nd chance) I would suggest that you make an appointment, because they have a line. Yes, they got so many referrals & return customers that they usually run a line during their business hours. If you don't have an appointment, expect to wait for about an hour to get the whole thing done, so if you wanna get it done during lunch hours, make an appointment.
