Excellent, No waiting, I drove right in, handed over my DMV paper and was out in maybe 10 minutes. Could not have been easier. It was $25 and I got a copy of the test for myself the other went electronically to the DMV. The guy there was super nice and efficient. This place is all you need.
Okay seriously. I'm not a "rustic" gal, but i'm a person who can get things done on her own any given day of the week, but we all gotta admit that getting your car smogged is one of the chores that falls in right behind having that molar removed without anesthesia....United does you RIGHT. I pulled up, smogged, passed AND got my tags... I GOT MY TAGS HERE... all in under 20 mins. I avoided the DMV, avoided the dreaded USPS "are my tags in the mail yet?" dance, and was treated so nicely by the gentleman technitian, I think it was Jack, but in my excitement i neglected to ask... but he was FANTASTICI have never EVER had such a good experience, ... I went in expecting tunafish on a cracker and came out with caviar on a toast point. The charge for the tags is only $15.00 in addition to your registration fees.. and with everything going on with the state of California and the lines at the DMV lately... i would have paid DOUBLE.go here go here go here go here go here. If you don't get it by now the time you waste is your own fault.QUICK TIP... there is another smog place on 600 SOUTH Garfield Ave.,.. do NOT get sucked in... that location is a rip and a half... i went there by accident and was told that the guy couldn't tell me what to charge me until he saw my paperwork AND it was cash only... yeah RIGHT.... then when I asked if this was United he tried to tell me they charge more (BS!!) and don't go there... he gave me the creeps....if you're unsure, ASK, if it's not United, DRIVE AWAY. United and your smog check ease are just another few minutes down the road.... eyes on the prize people....
2004 car.... $45 total.Luckily I didn't have to wait.... there was no one there when I got there. It was quick. He was done in literally 10-15 mins, fastest smog check I ever did....but then again maybe that's because it's a newer car. I think older cars have to go through more checks.
Jack treated me right. I brought in two cars and he had them both done in about 20 min. total.$45 each, including the smog cert. Done and done.
I am happy I got my smog check completed at United Test Only (located at the Exxon gas station). There was no wait, Jack the technician was friendly and professional, and it only took 10 minutes! More importantly, though, I paid $40 out the door! (I have a five year old car.)Service was no nonsense and fast, and I will be recommending United Test Only to my friends and family. The business card he stapled to my receipt shows that their hours are from Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, Saturdays, 8 am to 4 pm. They're on the corner of Garfield and Alhambra Road, and it was easy pulling in and easy driving out!
